Das am Doubs gelegene Wasserkraftwerk ist eines der \u00e4ltesten der Schweiz (Inbetriebnahme 1894). Mit einer installierten Leistung von 7,5 MW ist das Laufwasserkraftwerk die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Anlage zur Erzeugung von Strom aus Wasserkraft im Jura und im Berner Jura. Die genehmigten Mindestabfl\u00fcsse betragen unterhalb der Staumauer 1,3 m3\/s und unterhalb des Wasserkraftwerks 7 m3\/s im Winter und 5 m3\/sec im Sommer. Im Falle einer D\u00fcrre werden die Durchflussmengen entsprechend dem nat\u00fcrlichen Abfluss des Flusses in Les Brenets angepasst. Das Kraftwerk kann ab 1,8 m3\/sec mit der Stromerzeugung beginnen. Im Prinzip produziert es das ganze Jahr \u00fcber Strom, au\u00dfer in der Revisionszeit (einige Tage pro Jahr im Normalfall).
